He completed seven years of residency, in Emergency Medicine, in General Surgery at Wright State University,
Ohio. His plastic surgery residency of two years was completed at University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was additionally certified
for hand surgery by fulfilling the Fellowship for Hand Surgery at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Dr Chapman is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Colorado Society of Plastic Surgeons. He
obtained Level II Accreditation in Neurology and Upper Extremity by the Colorado Division of Worker’s Compensation.
Dr Chapman also served as Chief of Surgery for Poudre Valley Hospital for 2007 and 2008. In addition to the broad scope of
cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face and body, he performs arthroscopic surgery and treatment of complex wrist
disorders.
Dr Chapman has surgical privileges for all his procedures in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Estes
Park, Colorado, at these facilities: Poudre Valley Hospital, The Surgery Center of Fort Collins, Harmony Ambulatory Surgery
Center, Skyline Surgery Center, McKee Medical Center, Medical Center of the Rockies, and Estes Park Medical Center.
Dr Chapman was born in North Dakota and started practice in his home state immediately following his
fellowship in Orthopedic and Hand Surgery. His relocation to Ft Collins allowed for expansion of our clinic and of his
private practice. Involvement in family and school activities takes up most of his spare time. He coaches his
children’s sports teams and he plays in the area hockey league. He and his family are active in skiing, golf, snowboarding,
travel and almost any outdoor activity.
